Last year in December, in the midst of a generosity series, we gave away a $10 bill to everyone in attendance at the Sunday service. In the midst of tight financial times, it was just a small way to show that we as a church believe what 2 Corinthians 9:10 states, "For God is the one who provides seed for the farmer and then bread to eat. In the same way, he will provide and increase your resources and then produce a great harvest of generosity in you.” We believe God wants us to keep sowing generously and then trust that He will replenish our storehouse with more seed to sow.
Yesterday we received this note about how much the small $10 gift meant to one person last year year (see photo). And now this person's ability to be generous has grown and they have $100 they would like given away this year. How fun is that!?
God is so unbelievably kind, loving, and generous to us. So much so, that He even gave up His son for us. That was Jesus' sole purpose in coming to this earth, which is what we celebrate this time of year. Let’s keep sowing and spreading his love this Christmas season in the hopes that more people would experience God's amazing power and love as a result.
See the note HERE.

In 2018, Evergreen Church celebrates its 30th anniversary. God has done so much in us and through us – church plants, salvations, and discipleship. But what does our future hold?
We are excited to roll out some ways that the Evergreen locations will unite for what we are praying is even greater Gospel impact in the future. Kingdom Builders will be a huge part of that because it’s all about Acts 1:8 and our mission to advance the Gospel locally and globally through various initiatives and church planting.
The generosity of our saints and the sacrifices they are willing to make for Jesus and the advancement of his church has helped us get this far. Kingdom Builders is a vision campaign that unites generosity and mission in a way that allows us to keep taking steps towards bringing God more glory.
On January 7th, we start to roll out plans for 2018 Kingdom Builders in a 4-week shared series. Please start to pray about how God might have you be involved in building His Kingdom in 2018!
Sunday, December 24, 9:00 & 10:45 AM Services (childcare: Nursery only)
The Christmas season can be anything but peaceful, from shopping lines to traffic jams, we find ourselves rushing from place to place to find the perfect gifts for the ones we love. We frantically prepare for visiting family and friends with activities to plan, houses to decorate and meals to cook, eat, and clean up!
When peace comes into our lives, we definitely feel it. We have experienced it and we want it to last! When it leaves us, we desperately search for it again. We long for peace in the world, peace in our relationships and peace within.
Christmas is a time when we remember God’s grand plan to send his Son, the Prince of Peace, into the world. But how do we personally experience Jesus as our peace? Come and join us as we discover what happens when peace comes.
Christmas is a season filled with expectation and celebration, but if we’re being honest, it’s also a season filled with madness. As Christmas approaches, the focus of Advent sometimes gets lost amidst the chaos and craziness that comes with the holiday season. So, to help you focus your attention on the heart behind this special season, we’ve created a four-week devotional to walk you through Advent. Each week focuses on a specific aspect reflected in the birth of King Jesus—hope, peace, joy, and love. Pick yours up at the Welcome Center and spend the month of December in the Word. Check out the .pdf HERE.
